Types of hair extensions include:
The most popular are wefted hair extensions: also called NBR, beaded weft extensions, and natural beaded rows. They give the ultimate look of fullness and volume. First the beads are installed, which are silicone lined to prevent damage to the hair. We often double bead for more maximum security in the hair. Next we sew in a loop knot method across the hair. This method is best for all hair types. And woth this method we can blend short pixies and bobs for a dramatic short to long look. If you want your hair to look extremely full and long.
The weft hair itself lasts 6 momths to a year depending on the quality you buy from us. Must be maintained and raised up every 6 weeks. Once you buy a set, they can be raised up for 6 months to a year depending on the hair quality you choose to buy.
Dreamcatcher hair extensions or microlink extensions, are I-tip individual extensions which are applied to the hair with individual beads. Some methods we will do both weft and microlinks. Which makes it easier to wear your hair up. They are raised up every 4 to 6 weeks depending on how fine your hair is. The finer the hair, the sooner you must move up the extensions to prevent any damage.
Keratin bonded, k-tips and micro keratin bonded hair are also called fusion extensions. This type of extension is worn until they fall out. It is suggested to maintain every 10 weeks if any bonds fall out then we will replace them during your maintenance appointments. This method is great for those who don't want to come in for maintenance as often. Keratin bonded extensions last 3 to 6 months which depends on the way you take care of them.
We will maintain tape extensions for you, however this method is not suggested as it contains sticky medical grade adhesive which can be tricky to remove from the hair. This method can cause traction alopecia as we must use chemicals to remove it from the hair. We suggest no glue, no tape, no damage methods, like beaded wefts and microlinks the most.
